September 2004: General Installation

BACK: Part 1 - Installing the head

GENERAL INSTALLATION

There was enough other little things to do that I decided to list them in photos:

Some photos of the bottom of the gas tank, all finished and installed in the car.
In this shot you can see the stainless steel fasteners holding it in. No more rust here!
Installed the left half shaft. Had the little "U" metal spacers plated. The hex head bolts are all new, grade 12.3 hardness.
Installed the trunk gasket first... then
The deck lid went on.  I have the refinished Roundels (Bo Black's handiwork) on to see how they look.
I have this original radio console to install when it's time. Vintage Euro radio (see the buttons?)
Painted the back side of the block. About ready to install the rear crankshaft seal.
Some of the linkage and the alternator bracket we recycled by plating it. The kugelfisher pump is not installed yet. In this pic, it was being fitted to the lower front timing cover and needed a lot of scraping of the powder coating and test fitting.
Another shot of the intake with powder coated parts.
MORE TO COME....
