There was
enough other little things to do that I decided to list them in photos:
Some photos of the bottom of the gas tank, all finished and
installed in the car.
In this shot you can see the stainless steel fasteners
holding it in. No more rust here!
Installed the left half shaft. Had the little "U" metal
spacers plated. The hex head bolts are all new, grade 12.3 hardness.
Installed the trunk gasket first... then
The deck lid went on. I have the refinished Roundels
(Bo Black's handiwork) on to see how they look.
I have this original radio console to install when it's time.
Vintage Euro radio (see the buttons?)
Painted the back side of the block. About ready to install
the rear crankshaft seal.
Some of the linkage and the alternator bracket we recycled by
plating it. The kugelfisher pump is not installed yet. In this pic, it was
being fitted to the lower front timing cover and needed a lot of scraping of
the powder coating and test fitting.
